Binary System

Binary System depicts two bodies suspended in an intense field of green light. Their proximity suggests attraction, intimacy and communication, while the exact nature of their encounter remains unresolved.

The image is interested in the energy that emerges between people rather than within the individual. As the two figures approach one another, the distinction between body and atmosphere begins to dissolve. Colour becomes almost physical, surrounding the figures and occupying the space between them.

The title refers to a system formed by two bodies in relation to one another. The space separating them is therefore not empty, but charged: a site of attraction, tension and potential connection.
