This “Young Couple” (see pictures 3 & 4) was just one of my initial sketches I submitted to the publisher (Neri Pozza in Milan, Italy), when I started to drawing the cover for their edition of David Nicholls’ new novel “Sweet Sorrow” (in Italian: “Un dolore cosi’ dolce”).
That idea was abandoned pretty soon as with the publisher and the author it was decided to go for something completely different (Picture 1)!
However since I quite liked that initial idea as well I decided to complete the drawing and here is the result (Picture 2)!
