Book VII – Hallucinations

I tried to follow the recommendations of staying in social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic and one of the activities I used to keep my sanity was taking pictures at home. This is one of the projects with photos taken from the balcony of my apartment.

One day, I suddenly felt something like a failure in my sense of reality. I remembered Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" that is in book VII of his work "Republic" and I felt among the prisoners. I was assaulted by figures from a past that cannot be revisited in the so-called "outside world", but which, in one way or another, force their way through and manifest themselves among the shadows of everyday life. The categories "real", "dream", "hallucination", "inside" and "outside" mask themselves before any questioning and ask: "who am I?"
