I am a visual artist from Prague.
My primary medium is soft pastel drawing on large-format canvases. I explore the relationships between the human and non-human worlds. My main topics include the plasticity of contemporary times, the transformation of dialogue into monologue, invisible risks, the connection between the human body and the environment. My main inspiration source is literature with its diverse philosophical-socio-ecological focus. Using euphemism, narrative, and symbols, I progress in my paintings from details to larger, complex wholes, which I shroud in darkness—a darkness I perceive as a realm of possibility or mystery from which light can emerge.
