Camera Stories: Jeff Hamada

I suspect many people will post about film cameras, and I have a little collection of point & shoots that I love for different reasons but I think my favourite camera is still my Sony A7RII. I don't really have a sentimental attachment to it — it's not really sexy and it obviously wasn't handed down to me from my dad or anything like that. I just really enjoy shooting with it, I can capture the exact image I want. The dynamic range is pretty amazing and it's just been a really solid/reliable camera on so many trips.

The image I've included here was shot the night before I proposed to my wife. It was shot out of the window of our hotel in Hagi, Japan and the sun had just gone down and not many lights were turning on yet except for this lone gas station. Our vantage point just happened to be at the perfect angle for this shot.
