Christian de la Huerta Photographs

Christian de la Huerta
I was born in Mexico City and as a child, I never had a real passion for the world of imagery; in fact, no one in the family had any artistic aspirations—no painters or writers, for instance. I first picked up a camera in 2002, and I consider my training since then to have been largely self-taught. Over the years, I have learned that every photograph has its own specific timeframe. People often assume one can be constantly "producing" images in a serial fashion, as if it were a mechanical process. Yet, I have increasingly focused on trying to decipher the mystery or secret held within each photograph, a process that might take minutes, hours, days, or
years. Nature, Landscape, Street Photography and work, are some of the themes that you can mostly see in my work.
