I am Umiwonuu., an illustrator based in Nara, Japan. “A Place for Today” is a series of digital illustrations inspired by cafés I have visited.

Drawing on my own photographs and observations, I explore the light, textures, and quiet atmosphere of these everyday spaces. Rather than simply recording their appearance, I seek to convey the feeling of spending time there—the warmth of a familiar interior and the fleeting presence of the people within it.

Each illustration is drawn in Procreate.
