Comfortable uncanniness

With my drawings, I want to create a bridge between uncanny and comfort. My former pencil work, often in black and white, talked about forced laugh, mixing violence or sickness with false joy. Now my passion for waves and water in general creeps into this odd mix, still paying special attention to the rendering of materials as fluids, rocks, hairs and skin. Colors intervene more and more often, through color pencils or oil pastels. Without contradicting each other, the different elements of my work are forming a coherent entity in which one can alternate a swim in a warm liquid with a long hangover sunk in a soft sofa.
