I’m Semih Beceren, a textile artist and graphic designer based in Izmir, Türkiye. I create large-scale hyperrealistic artworks by cutting discarded textiles into tiny 2×2 mm pieces and placing each piece individually using tweezers and a magnifying glass. Some of my works contain hundreds of thousands of fabric pieces. My artwork “Silent Scream” won first prize in Türkiye at “The Story of Waste: Zero Waste Art Competition,” organized by the Zero Waste Foundation in collaboration with the United Nations Türkiye.
