My paintings operate as ongoing conversations with myself, where personal narratives, observations, and fleeting thoughts are recorded, revised, and occasionally contradicted. Rooted in provisional painting, the works embrace uncertainty, immediacy, and the beauty of the unfinished. Marks, symbols, fragments of language, and disparate imagery accumulate without a predetermined resolution. Each decision responds to what came before, allowing the painting to become both a record of its construction and a reflection on the act of making. Rather than arriving at a definitive image, the compositions remain open, inviting the openness to navigate ones own associations and discover meaning within the ambiguity.
