Calling humans 'creatures' is so polarizing. Sometimes it offends people, but I don't really know why. We ARE creatures? It puts us all on the same playing field. No matter where you're from, what language you speak, what you look like, everyone objectively IS a creature. And I've realized that us creatures are what make certain places so special. So to honour this, I spend ~45 minutes in what I deem the most inspiring places (most like because I ingested a coffee) drawing the unique 'creatures of' the area. And thus, "Creatures of___" were born. With over 1000 creatures drawn, spanning 3 continents at this point, I can't see myself ever not practicing this special art of noticing. If you look closely, you might just be one :)
