Dance in Dead Space

When coincidentally coming across a closed down elderly home in Vienna, I was captivated by the sadness of the few traces of life that were left in the various rooms. I could barely imagine how life was there, the last stop of so many people before they die. I didn’t want to give in to that sadness and decided to pair the rooms as they were – with all their weird found materials inside – with the light-hearted spirit of dancers. The pictures I created are a statement that even though lives ended in a sad place like this, those lives had happy moments too. Like with a flash from the past these rooms came to life for one last time.
