These pieces document what plays out in my mind when I become distracted and my imagination takes over. This is when the monotone of the every day is suspended and grotesque, bizarre animals loom-large over small human figures and dramas evolve in my mind's eye. However, the outcome of these dramas is uncertain and it is left to the viewer to decide the fate of the creatures involved. Some works reflect the fast-pasted chaos in which we live, presenting itself through a bizarre second universe where creatures are removed from their normal surroundings and allowed to conquer, space travel, poison, bite, love and fly. Realizing that my work has gained a theatrical sense, the fact that it could be a toy, a revelation game of the unknown, the unexplored, intensified my ongoing desire to awaken and enliven my everyday surroundings.
