Desire

This series of paintings explores the endless nature of human desire — the ways we want, yearn, and sometimes lose ourselves in pursuit of what lies just beyond our reach.
Through the lenses of optimism, romanticism, materialism, envy, and freedom, I reflect on desire as both a garden of growth and a field of distortion, where aspirations and illusions intertwine.
Like a garden, our desires grow. Also like a garden, we may not see when the weeds begin to grow.
Examining various aspects of human desire will serve to question why we continuously yearn for things beyond us to the point that our realities may even become distorted by our desires.
