Developing Red White Blue is a small project about feeling implicated. More specifically, it's about engaging in patriotic activities, blindly or begrudgingly; about going along with familial pastimes and simultaneously escaping the required acceptance and celebration of our national existence; about sitting during "God Bless America" at baseball games; about reconciling being free and american in 2017 with knowledge of concurrent bondage, disenfranchisement, and hopelessness. Hopefully, it is also about family and color and nostalgia.
