I strive first and foremost to pull from personal experiences for inspiration. I believe, though I might be creating a piece based on my own life and my own internal thoughts and feelings, that many people will have had similar experiences - our lives are all unique, but basic emotions are shared by all. Though I am just beginning to explore this theme intentionally, it has always driven my work subconsciously. I look forward to creating work about universal human emotions through imagery of the figure and the environments in which we live.
I am currently developing my artwork while enrolled the BFA program at Portland State University. In addition to showing in several group shows in Portland, I have exhibited work in Chicago and St. Louis.
