A few years ago, I started noticing that women around NYC were dying their hair bright/vibrant colors. As a photographer, I am really drawn to color and wanted to explore this trend. I approached women on the street asking to participate in my portrait series that would highlight this fashion trend. I had each woman wear either white or black clothing to really allow for the color of their hair to stand out. This project is intended to be a celebration of women and our unique self expressions.
