Kiran Joan is a freelance illustrator based in Baltimore, Maryland. Her work is characterized by smooth textures and contrasting fluid lines. Since graduating, Kiran has worked with a range of clients like The New York Times, NBC News, Washington Post, Politico and more.
Her work also explores themes of sensitivity and love. One such project that flows from personal work to freelance is with the non profit feminist organization, Urgent Action Fund, Africa to highlight its movement building approach.
Urgent Action Fund, Africa is a feminist, Pan-African, rapid response fund committed to transforming power relations through resourcing African feminists and womn human rights defenders and their formations as an act of solidarity.
