De-jé is a New York–based, self-taught painter whose work explores emotional intimacy as a form of luxury, treating feeling, belief, and desire as material.

Working across painting and objects, she blends classical technique with a contemporary sensibility to create cinematic compositions that blur personal memory and collective experience.

Rendered primarily in oil, charcoal, and watercolor, her work depicts figures and interiors charged with vulnerability, longing, and quiet tension. Through these scenes, De-jé considers how intimacy changes once it becomes visible, and how being seen reshapes what we desire, protect, or withhold.
