I always struggled with what it meant to be a "woman" and recently I realized I'm definitely gender fluid. I think a lot of that feeling is expressed in my work and it's the strongest when I'm collaging. The pressure to wear makeup, to consume, to conform, to comply - all of that is just not a contract that I'm not willing to sign anymore. Molds are outdated and I despise how the fashion industry and media try to shove people in them.
