“Fingertips” explores the modern-day relationship between landscape and the body and seeks to shed light on gender identities that no long conform to the dichotomy of male masculinity and female femininity. Often stereotypically portrayed as exotic and feminine, these Asian bodies instead display strong individualities in finding their own place on the spectrum. They are unapologetically Asian, queer, gentle, assertive, ambiguous, and yet strong, not unlike the Californian landscape they dwell in––colorful, tenacious and ever-shifting.
