Flower Bolides is an ongoing photographic series in which flowers are distorted through transparent sculptures I make by hand. They act as real-world displacement, bending the light so petals stretch and fold back on themselves, colours bleed into one another, and fine details melt into liquid forms. Every distortion is captured in-camera. Against deep black, the flowers stop behaving like still lifes and begin to move, turning into bolides: bright fireballs, at once delicate and fierce.
