FOLDS is an ongoing photographic project shaped by walks guided by plants. When I point my camera at them, my attention is drawn to the subtle details, the shifting shadows, the sound of the wind, and the scent of the earth. In these quiet encounters, photography becomes a way of being with plants and attending to lives beyond my own.
I approach plants as living beings in continuous processes of growth, transformation and decay, their forms shaped by encounters with the surrounding environment. Through their ways of surviving, adapting and persisting, I reflect on forms of existence beyond human-centred narratives.
FOLDS explores more-than-human histories, questioning dominant ways of seeing and relating to the world, while opening space for other forms of life to be encountered on their own terms.
