For those whom I gazed at

My practice explores the body as a site where personal experience, social structures, and systems of knowledge intersect. I am interested in how the body is observed, classified, represented, and transformed through medical, institutional, and social forms of looking.

I work with images and materials drawn from medical archives, radiology, ultrasound, photography, and other forms of documentation. By translating these images into painting, printmaking, sculpture, video, and installation, I examine the distance between the lived body and its representation. The clinical image, originally intended to reveal and identify the body, becomes a starting point for abstraction and uncertainty.
