I’m Macie Rollins - a multidisciplinary artist based in Norfolk, VA, working in tufting, painting, & experimental design. I earned my BFA in painting and drawing from ODU and create layered, colorful work that’s playful and alive. I’m constantly exploring unexpected ways to bring ideas to life.
My recent work focuses on experimental, wall-based pieces that combine tufting, sculptural framing, color-shifting lighting, &unconventional materials - not as a gimmick, but to push the medium into new unfamiliar territory.
These pieces are bold and color-forward - tufted forms meet smooth plastics, sharp edges, and surprising material pairings. They’re meant to be fun, attention-grabbing, and break ideas of what fiber-based work can be.
Everything I make is one-of-a-kind. No copies, just raw material exploration, fresh and original.
