Submission Photography

Fulgor

These analog photographs seek a fragile and indeterminate interval. A state of passage, of appearance and disappearance, where form is mutable and meaning is metamorphic.

A glimpse. A stillness with a desire to be. A nonconformity that insists on remaining.

The glow inhabits a liminal instant, a brief moment of suspension, the point at which something ceases to be entirely what it was, without yet having become something else. It is this light that crosses them, trembling, in the middle of the path.

Disorienting and disconcerting, they carry a subtle melancholy, perhaps a nostalgia. They do not show a full presence, but its echo, its vestige. Because, being flashes, they are apparitions that emerge from the shadow only long enough to be glimpsed, before dissolving again into the unspeakable.
