My work is the result of the observations of my fascination. My landscapes are both documentary and mythical. I collect pictorial images, found organic and human made objects then combine and compose these disparate forms. My image making process starts with a vague idea and builds as I go along; the end result is a surprise. The images are dreamlike and mythological but the rendering is detailed and convincing. I am inspired by nature’s wonders and my work reflects a mysterious, surreal approach. I think of the work as the intersection and interconnectedness between human kind and the natural world. The work that combines a figurative element is feminine in nature and not only brings our focus to the human/nature interface but also to the intersection between past present and our blended identities.
