I make geometrically inspired golden portraits.
My portraits translate character through simple geometry. I started exploring my love for fragmentation and defragmentation by creating works that evoke pieces falling apart and coming together with simple geometric shapes.
They depict profiles, monuments, places and icons, representing them as minimal golden pixelated handcrafted pieces.
With a strictly golden colour palette and primitive geometric shapes, my art series are filled with iconic figures and subjects you instantly pick up. My pieces, posted on my social accounts, tell the story of my work. Bringing together cubism, african art, iconoclasm and pop culture, it can be described as surreal, prestigious, theatrical and bold.
