An intimate look into the life and work of Berlin-based Canadian dance artist Alvin Collantes during his journey creating 'Dose of Pleasure’, an initiative that combines Gaga dance, meditation, techno and the language of groove in a dance floor setting. While people have tuned in online from across the globe, in Berlin a community grew by attending Alvin’s in real life sessions outdoors. The story documents Alvin’s journey inside-out since summer 2020, capturing his strong facets put into his work.
“Grooving with Alvin Collantes” is part of a personal project called IRL Stories, a series focused on how performing artists are adapting to these times of radical change. Each story is photographed on medium format film with a participant observer approach to storytelling.
