I usually paint with acrylic on a canvas but collage and simple drawing works are very important for extending my figurative works.
I made this series using the illustrations of an old fairy tale book for the 'old book' drawing series. The old illustrations are narrative. I reinvented the illustrations by emphasizing images with symbols and metaphors.
When I make collage works, I collect some symbolic images for characters and objects and then add narrative stories.
I hope all my works will have narratives that evoke imagination. Like a childhood fairy tale books.
