Kim Knoll lives and works in Chicago as a Graphic Artist. Her minimal and modern aesthetic with graphic design translates over to her paintings, where ideas are simplified and stripped down to basic forms. Using a mix of watercolor paint, India ink and metallic gold, her work is an abstract interpretation of thoughts and experiences from her time spent in nature, since she feels most at peace exploring the land around us. That sense of peace or wonder is what she tries to bring to each painting. This series titled "Guvano Beach" is based on her memory and experience with finding the secret, nude paradise in Corniglia, Italy.
