Hesitation is a new series, and one I hope to work on throughout the residency, where long exposures and subtle camera movements stretch light across atmospheres, dissolving the boundaries between sky, water, and land. Across the series, I use photography as a tool to gently disrupt the ordinary. These are captured from a pause happening while the world continues on. It is a moment of doubt that leaves everything briefly out of sync. The viewer receives a photograph that resembles a watercolor painting, created only through the manipulation of light. They are landscapes formed through hesitation.
