Home Outgrown is a surreal photo series about the moment you realize you've outgrown your living space...when clutter becomes claustrophobic and once-treasured belongings feel like "stuff." Art director & set designer Mary Campbell found an old dollhouse in her in-laws' home and decided to renovate it for this shoot - and ultimately for her own daughter to play with! All the furniture and accessories were carefully stowed away, untouched since the 1980s. Model Hannah Yu interacts with the miniature objects and nonsensical items of abundance (i.e., a pile of cooked spaghetti) as they collide into a chaotic, overflowing world.
