Mike Centeno and I used to be coworkers and we became friends immediately. I quit that job and we didn't talk for almost 5 years. Then my wife and I moved to Key West in 2022 and I got into painting. I then co-founded an art gallery called SMASH Key West. While at SMASH, I painted a piece and posted it on Instagram. Mike messaged me almost immediately and told me he loved it! Then he said that he was inspired and wanted to do his pen work on my painting. So I mailed it to him and didn't hear back from him for a couple months. When I asked him about it, he sent this really amazing and ornately detailed addition to my piece. It looked awesome! Then I didn't hear from him for another 9 months when he finally finished it!
