ncontri is a long-term photographic project that began with a simple gesture: meeting people encountered in different places around the city, particularly people with migrant backgrounds, and creating a space for informal conversation and exchange.
Initially conceived as a photographic exploration of encounters, the project gradually evolved into a more layered visual practice, combining photography, fragments of conversations, memory and collage.
The people photographed are not presented simply as subjects, but as participants in a shared process. Each encounter becomes a fragment of a wider urban narrative: stories of movement, belonging, displacement, work, identity and everyday life.
