This body of work explores Surrealist techniques of automatic drawing and decalcomania in hopes of revealing a higher understanding of self and the other through painted renderings called Inscapes. The narrative is deeply rooted in my love and appreciation for California’s Bird Ecology. The bird portrait in visceral inscape motif represents an empathic view into the psyche’s visualization of anxious emotions as it struggles to digest what is right or wrong in these unprecedented time. Nature watches as effects of human condition unravel, will we be able to find a balance before the weight gets too heavy?
