My name is Jack Herzog and I am an artist currently working in Los Angeles. About a year ago I left my job in animation to pursue my sculptural practice. I make soft sculpture using fabric and foam, similar to upholstery. In my practice I try to investigate my anxieties surrounding masculinity and comfort. The work itself is rooted in an illustrative tradition, and I often use the language of comics and cartoons to create a sense of irreverence and humor. I hope you enjoy the work.
