Joseph Evans sculptural works

Joseph Evans’ work explores where daily moments converge and collapse into a single visual language. Drawing from ancient carvings, cave drawings, totemic structures, religious iconography, folklore, and Afro-futurism, he reinterprets primitive forms through modern technology. Using CNC processes on birch plywood and other hardened mediums, Evans creates works that feel both engineered and excavated—artifacts suspended between ancestral memory and speculative futures. Through disciplined linework, geometric fragmentation, and sculptural thinking, his work expands from a 2D to 4D perspective—not only shaping how the pieces are viewed, but how they command and transform the space around them. Organic material meets programmed precision, bridging human touch and machine accuracy.
