Katerina Haaland is a Norway-based artist working under her contemporary botanical art space - ATELIER FRØ.
Her practice begins with observing the landscape, where she gathers botanical and seasonal materials that form the foundation of her sculptural works, compositions
and installations. With a focus on natural rhythm and simplicity, her work is guided by a close relationship with the natural environment, seasonality, material sensitivity
and restrained aesthetic language.
Katerina works with botanical materials as an artistic medium, letting it become both subject and collaborator while creating installations and sculptural compositions defined by texture, asymmetry and movement.
