This project consists of a series of images and a self-published photographic book. It focuses on the long lasting memories of places as they were perceived in one’s childhood, and how these individual collections of mementos compose the filter through which one sees the world.
Triggered by my own experience of recalling long gone feelings and perceptions (like scents, sights and tactile sensations) just by travelling in distant places, I search for revelations in light and shadows, in order to create new meanings for collective storytelling.
Abandoned environments become a nest for fears and desires while open landscapes let clusters of uncertainty and expectations float above and around us.
