Illustration is based off a festival tradition for Saint Carmen, it occurs annually during the summer in the town of San Andres Solaga in Oaxaca, Mexico; but also, in Los Angeles amongst the Oaxacan diaspora population. Where those who volunteer, go from the top of the town to the center of it, while singing, dancing, playing instruments, and carrying goods to distribute amongst the community. This is part of a large series based on the prompt "From Here to There", this can be viewed from the Zine portion of my portfolio/website.
