Light Fields is a unique art form developed by Maria Vera to create works of dancing colour & light that offer a visual escape into a world of deep colour and ephemeral experience.
Each Light Field is composed of multiple layers of glass, high resolution colour prints and LED-light. Inspired by the optical illusion called Moire, the artwork moves along with its viewers’ eyes, creating a visual effect of gradually changing or "breathing" compositions.
Light Fields was born in 2017 as an architectural scale art installation, and has since been meticulously refined and perfected to suit many scales and sizes. The first series of compact wall pieces, called "the Fire Series" is handcrafted to the finest detail and is now available through the artists website.
