By nature, flowers are ephemeral, radical expressions of life itself, blooming and dying. Perhaps it is this quality that motivates me to capture them during this strange unprecedented time, when finding escape from the modern digital anxieties reminds us we are still alive.
Shot on film, this story is a feverish exploration of our relationship to nature, bringing the outside in. Drawing on the romanticized, sensory works of Monet, a landscape is created from printed and cultivated flowers to the point of abstraction.
