I’m Memi Mizukami, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Japan. I like observing the small absurdities of everyday life — the peculiar habits of people, the funny things our bodies do, and the strange, tender relationships between humans and animals.

My illustrations and short comics often begin with ordinary moments: a cat’s yawn, three cats hiding under a duvet, or a passing thought during a boring day at work. I enjoy finding humour in these little observations and turning them into visual stories that make the familiar feel a little strange, and the strange feel familiar.
