My illustrations are born from an obsession: faces as emotional maps. I’m interested in that moment when an expression can say much more than words. I draw faces that don’t represent a specific person, but rather inner states: anxiety, fear, attachment, tenderness, vulnerability, desire, joy, or simply the chaos we all carry inside.
I work intuitively, allowing the line to find its own way. I rarely begin with a sketch; my hands seem to know what emotion they want to tell before I do. Chinese ink creates a stronger, almost adult line, while pastel and colour bring in something more sensitive, spontaneous, and connected to childhood memory.
For me, each face is a small emotional landscape: familiar and strange at the same time.
