LVNE is an interactive installation by New York–based Japanese artist Misato, created with support from NASA/JPL and presented at ComplexCon to an enthusiastic response. Visitors step onto a sculptural treadmill within a lunar landscape and look back at Earth. Rooted in the artist’s experience with an eating disorder, the work reveals the absurdity of being bound by human-made beauty standards and rules when seen from the Moon. It carries an ironic critique of society: question before you conform.
