I took this photograph with two students who came to my workshop in Grenoble, two wedding dresses, two bouquets of flower, and toilet pumps. I wanted to talk about the unwilling marriages of girls in early ages in Turkey. Girls are made brides in very early ages and given the role of the housewife. Obligated to make children and look after them. Obligated to do housework. That needa stop sis, we need to give our girls their own chances at who they want to be and how they want to live their life instead of taming them to be household objects. We need modern heads to be in charge.
