My work explores human psychology and constant transformation where reality and the absurd collide. Using charcoal, I examine the friction between the spaces we inhabit and our inner worlds. In the studio, the material transforms beneath my hands, embracing the smudge and structural shadow to unearth figures from memory with a raw texture.
Domestic spaces become unstable territories where the mundane is punctured by the surreal. Characters transform alongside their environment, dissolving into walls or emerging from furniture to show that identity is a fluid process.
Ultimately, this charcoal work serves as the analog DNA for my films and VR projects. I use its mutable nature to strip away the polished facade of the modern world, revealing the raw, poetic essence of human existence.
