These images were created in New York City, where I grew up. I have always been drawn to urban landscapes and the countless overlooked details hidden within them. In these details I find a story. The unintended marks left behind by citizens over the course of generations, the decay of rust, peeling paint, and chipped stone, the rebirth of little plants shooting through cracks in the sidewalk - these are all chapters in the many stories that every city holds. They are physical manifestations of the passage of time. I believe that getting to know a city means walking the streets, looking for the details, and listening for their stories.
