My name is MJ Ashitsa; I'm a visual artist from Mombasa, Kenya. My work explores what happens when playfulness meets curiosity, using mixed-media collage and materiality to layer, transform and discover new ways of seeing, often transmuting what was once painful into something joyful and full of colour.
